Man Who Gambled A Few Times Loves Telling People He Doesn’t Gamble Anymore

Colorado Springs, Co.-The recent excitement of a professional boxer in town has given Matthew Cooper the opportunity to remind people he no longer gambles.

“I want to be known for more than just being the former sheriff,” Matthew comments. “I want people to remember that I am a former gambler, too.”

Although Matthew gambled only a few times, he wants people to know that he doesn’t do it anymore. While he wants people to know he doesn’t gamble anymore, he does relish the opportunity to advise the town’s residents on gambling opportunities.

“The arrival of the boxer gave me the opportunity to exercise my gambling muscles,” Matthew continues. “When I saw the opportunity to advise Loren how to gamble on the fight, I thought this really is the best of both worlds: I look like a moral person first when I point out that I no longer gamble, but I also look like I have street smarts by telling Loren who I would bet on if I were a betting man.”

At press time, Dr. Mike was thinking that it would be better if Matthew didn’t encourage gambling at all, but she was too busy trying to save the E’s marriage to do anything about it.
