Report: Charles Ingalls Assures Stranger He Will Be Great Father

Walnut Grove, Minn.- Recent reports indicate that Laura Ingalls’ recent discovery of notes in bottles in a nearby creek as well as an abandoned baby have set in motion a series of events that led Charles Ingalls to declare his confidence that a boy he just met will be a great father.

Although Charles Ingalls only met Bobby when he tracked him down in a nearby town in search of the baby’s mother, he feels fairly certain that young Bobby will be a great father.

According to Charles, “When young Bobby assured me that he would be a great father to his daughter no matter what happens, there was only one thing I could do, and that is to state what was obvious to me after just riding around in the woods with Bobby for a little while: the boy is real father material.”

Despite knowing nothing about Bobby’s background, values, or skills, Charles feels confident in his assessment, assuring us that “he just knows about these things.”

“Knowing a father as legendary as Charles Ingalls thinks I will be a good father really boosts my confidence in my abilities,” Bobby shares. “I know our daughter got a rough start in life, but it should all be smooth sailing from here on out.”

Although Anna grieved the traumatic experience she just went through–from giving birth alone in the woods, to worrying about her baby for days, to then having to save her insane father only to face more rejection–she rejoiced that her baby’s father has the Charles Ingalls stamp of approval.

“Since my experience with my own father was so harsh, it is just such a relief to know that it won’t be like that for my daughter,” Anna comments. “She is going to be raised by someone that Charles Ingalls finds suitable.”

At press time, Charles pondered what sorts of situations Bobby and Anna might run into that he could lend a hand in sorting out, admitting that he finds the urge to fix other people’s lives “irrepressible.”
