Colorado Springs, Co.– Recent reports indicate that area mountain man Sully is responsible for a life threatening head injury for the second time.
Widely known for taking his eyes off Brian as he climbed a tree during story time just last year–an event which led to Brian’s trying to fly out a tree and obtaining a brain injury that required surgery–Sully has once again caused a serious head injury.
Telegraph operator Horace and newly de-Salooned Myra’s engagement party took an eventful turn when a drunk Hank showed up and threatened to shoot Myra. To prevent this tragedy and missing his tomahawk, Sully threw a piece of wood at Hank. While trying to allegedly only knock his gun out of his hand, Sully in fact just knocked Hank out.
“First, I want to point out that this is why I only wear suits when absolutely needed,” Sully begins. “If I hadn’t been wearing that suit, I would have had my tomahawk and this wouldn’t have happened. I am very finely tuned in the throwing of that tomahawk to aid in all types of situations, but this piece of wood–the feel is just all different. So yeah, I didn’t mean to knock him out, but here we are.”
As Sully departs with Wolf for their walk, he shakes his head ruefully and comments, “This is getting to be an annual thing.”
Asked for her input, Dr. Mike sees the bright side of things.
“While as a doctor I don’t like to see anyone get injured, I think it’s important that we see the silver lining,” Dr. Mike shares. “The silver lining with these traumatic brain injuries is that it really gives me a chance to show the town what I am capable of in terms of modern medicine. By really shifting the focus to myself and what I can do, I’m sure to finally win everyone over. Once I’ve won everyone over, I can continue to convince them of the rightness of my ways.”
At press time, the town mob was taking bets on who Sully would traumatically injure next.
