You’re probably still all thinking about the circus and what a great time it was, and I must confess that I’m still thinking about it myself. You see, this was one of the best dates I’ve had for a while.
I’m new in town, but I’m out there trying to meet the young ladies. I know someone out there is for me, and if I have to date every single available young woman in town to find her, well, I will. Anyway, I ask Christy on a date. I’m sure you all remember her from the circus–why, who could forget her? She’s quite a pretty girl, even if she acts a little uppity at times, plus she lost her skirt in front of everyone. Anyway, I asked her out and I just knew the circus would be the perfect date, and boy was I right.
You see, the night started off sort of how you’d expect. We’re sitting there and I was just blown away by the circus. Christy kept asking to leave, which you might think would put a damper on my evening, but here’s the thing: it didn’t. You know why? Well, how could it? There I am, just sitting there loving the circus, which is about enough to help me ignore Christy complaining about the circus, when this funny little clown dumps water on Christy. Now we’re talking entertainment! She was upset, but I knew it was all in good fun. Then when she stood and that little clown pulled her skirt down, well that was just tops right there. You know, seeing a lady in her undergarments is a lot more than I usually see on one of my dates.
And the best part? Christy stormed out and then I was left to enjoy the rest of the circus in peace.
As if all this wasn’t enough, that funny little clown kissed me. So let’s recap here: I saw a lady in her undergarments and I was kissed. This is a pretty action packed date, and the best part is that it was in public so no one can accuse me of wrong doing.
Like I said, I’m new in town, but if this is what courting is like in Walnut Grove, I can’t wait to see what else is in store for me.
