Mr. Whitehead Disappointed By Work Trip Location

Walnut Grove, Minn.-Recent reports indicate that Roger Whitehead, Esq., is disappointed that his work has brought him to Walnut Grove twice.

“This town, it’s not very exciting now is it?” Mr. Whitehead muses. “When I first was sent here to deliver the news to the Ingalls of their inheritance, I felt a mild anticipation. I had never been to Minnesota before and it’s always nice when work gets you out of the office. But then to have to endure a long trip for this? Why, it is disappointing at best.”

Although Mr. Whitehead was relieved by the short duration of his trip the first time–when he merely delivered news to the Ingalls family–he found himself quickly disappointed that he had to return to Walnut Grove.

Whitehead notes that his work has brought him to some interesting places and he has seen many interesting cities.

“I love getting out of my home sphere and experiencing new cities,” Whitehead notes. “What I like best is to see how other cities operate, their architecture, their food, their drink.”

Whitehead notes, however, that Walnut Grove has none of this.

“I knew I’d have to make this trip again, but I was really hoping for a little more time,” Whitehead shares. “If only the estate had taken a little longer to settle. This town really is not a very good place for a work trip. There is nothing to do here–no restaurants, not even a saloon. The architecture of the town is abject at best. Overall it is just very disappointing, very disappointing indeed.”

At press time, Otto Ripley was mumbling at least Mr. Whitehead could do his job in Walnut Grove after the Ingalls family did not comply with his demands to appear poorer than they were.
